About Us

GEOFF LOVETT INTERNATIONAL – LUXURY MOTOR YACHT SPECIALISTS, with a life time of boating history and experience.

Perfectly located in the heart of the stunning Gold Coast, Marina Mirage is the jewel of the Broadwater. Geoff Lovett International has called this home base since the grand opening 27 years ago. GLI has continually proven Marina Mirage to be the premier location to sell all vessels ranging from the smaller 30 foot pleasure craft to sailing boats, commercial and surveyed charter vessels, stylish sports cruisers and sports fishers, and as the title suggests, Luxury Motor Yachts are our specialty from 30 metre yachts through to the unsurpassable Benetti 65 metre Superyachts and beyond.

Whether you’re looking to purchase your first luxury boat, selling and moving up to your next, or wanting to plan a memorable boat charter experience, you’ll want the best service and advice you can get.

Our experience is unparalleled in Australia and our team of marine specialists are equipped to find exactly what you’re looking for – locally, nationally or internationally. It has been our policy to list a small number of quality vessels that all our staff become familiar with rather than listing 400 to 500 boats as some brokers do. This enables us to present your vessel in the most professional, hands on and personal way, unlike no other.

Geoff Lovett International’s listings of luxury boats for sale and luxury boats for charter, are the most discerning in Australia. With contacts in all of Australia’s capital cities and affiliated offices overseas, you can be assured that Geoff Lovett International will source and broker your next boat deal with professionalism and extreme confidentiality. As today’s purchaser is tomorrows vendor, GLI would like to welcome you to our family, the wonderful world of boating and the pleasure it brings. By putting our client’s needs first for over 35 years, we’ve built Geoff Lovett International into Australia’s most reputable and most successful large motor yacht broker. We look forward to helping you bring your boating dreams to life.

“Australia is an incredible country full of enthusiastic boaters. We are delighted to count many of Australia’s most wealthy and influential businessmen as long-term clients. Like all our clients, these are discriminating buyers looking for quality and value.” Geoff Lovett

Perry James

Perry grew up on a marina at Lake Macquarie, “a great old place” where he was free to explore the waterways, learning the boating lifestyle that both his mum and dad loved with a passion.
“Boating is in my blood,” says Perry. “My grandparents had a love of the water and my son is a game fishing Captain.”
An avid and adept angler all his life, Perry still holds the Australian record for blue marlin with a catch off Port Stephens in the 80s that topped the scales at 176kg. “During the 70s when I was on charter boats off Cairns, we caught fish that were much larger than that. The largest would be about 1203 pounds, or 550kg,” he recounts.
After a brief interlude in real estate, Perry returned to the boating industry, and has now clocked up eight years with GLI. “Geoff and Jenny have been friends of our family for many years – since I was about six. Working with Geoff and Peter now is a great combination of business and love of the sea.”
Along with the challenge of making the sale, Perry says he most enjoys “making people happy”.
“When I’m out on a boat, I forget about everything. That same relaxation and freedom that I find on a boat, I love sharing. That’s the buzz I get from getting people in the boat that suits them.”

Geoff Lovett

At just 21-years old, Geoff was attracted to boating because it seemed like the best fit for an outdoors type with a penchant for water skiing and a knack for sales.
When a job came up at Sports Marine in Victoria selling Mercury Outboards, Geoff jumped at the chance to merge business and leisure.
50 years later, having coursed all paths of the marine industry in sales, dealership, distribution and marina development, Geoff has firmly established GLI on Queensland’s magnificent Gold Coast and in Sydney, with an international reputation based on longevity in a competitive industry, tenacity and customer service ethic, working side-by-side with sellers and prospective buyers on realising their dreams of boat ownership.
For his part, Geoff says of his GoldenAnniversary in the business that each and every day has been a breeze and a blessing. “It really is the best job in the world. I never get up and don’t want to go to work. And it’s not just the boats, it’s the people. Our clients become like family and we are certainly close to our brands.”

Col McPherson

Col has a very successful history in the Australian marine industry, with the last 30 years of his career spent selling a wide variety of vessels from small cruisers and sport fishing boats through to luxury motor yachts.

Col brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him and we are delighted he has decided to join our company.

Gary Zamparutti

Gary Zamparutti

Gary started his seafaring life on the Gold Coast at Buds Beach, Surfers Paradise at his family’s Boat Hire and Bait Shop. These early days involved renting out boats to holiday makers, novice and experienced fishermen alike.

His love of the sea has taken him on a life long journey of marine adventures both in a professional capacity and recreationally. His marine career has allowed him to experience everything on offer throughout the waters of Australia, Papua New Guinea and Asia.

Gary has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge throughout the marine sector with an impressive resumé including; Commercial Fishing, Catamaran Boat Building, Dive Boat Chartering, Sea Freight, Tug and Barge Operations, and Yacht Brokering.

All this has now culminated in Gary working with Geoff Lovett International (GLI) and doing what he loves most, and with over 20 year’s experience in brokerage and selling boats, Gary knows that it is all about finding the right yacht for our clientele. “My passion is selling boats and in the last two decades I’ve been able to make some fabulous friendships and sell boats to clients from all walks of life. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my career and working with GLI is the perfect fit for me and allows me to keep doing what I love!”.

Tony Lacey

Tony grew up in Sydney and like most young adults, had a passion for boating and motor racing. “I developed an early love for the water (and most things fast) and there was nothing more enjoyable than spending the weekend camping on the Hawkesbury and getting up early to water ski on the river when it was at its best. If I wasn’t boating or skiing on top of the water then I was spending time scuba diving underneath it!”

Tony has spent over 30 years in the motor industry in various management roles and has joined Geoff Lovett International as a Business Development Manager. “The marine industry is constantly changing and there is so much potential for development and growth. GLI is a trusted name in the business and I’m very excited to be part of the team and assisting in moving the business forward. The business already has a tremendous work ethic and there is no doubt that the knowledge and experience of the team would be almost impossible to match, there is over 100 years of experience just within the dedicated team.”

“Geoff Lovett International has prided itself on having available superior quality stock and their attention to detail is second to none, they may not have 500 boats but what they do have they know inside and out, I can’t think of a better organisation to be associated with.”

Lauren Ervin

Lauren has a background in Administration and joined Geoff Lovett International in February of 2007. Lauren’s roll encompasses Administration of our GLI offices as well as Accounting Management, working behind the scenes to provide vital support to our team.
Her aim is to provide a high level of professional service to ensure the smoothest experience is made possible for all of Geoff Lovett International’s clients including an extensive knowledge of AMSA registrations and requirements.

“Helping others is my main focus and I really love it.” Another of Lauren’s motivations has been her love of a challenge, “I love a problem and I love solving it. I get a real buzz out of that,” and this is the secret to her career longevity.

Lauren originally started out as our Charter Manager and office administration assistant, before farthing her career into the accounting and office management side.

Lauren is here to make you feel welcome at GLI and is always on hand with a friendly smile.

Feel free to direct any enquiries to Lauren and she will do her best to help you or refer you on to the right team member for further assistance.
