“Southseas” was completed and launched in 2018 as an updated version of the well-respected and popular Honeymoon / Seaway 33. This semi-displacement cruiser is capable of serious coastal cruising and comfortable inshore holidays aboard. Now built as a Southport 34 this new model offers very economical performance from her 160 HP Yanmar shaft drive diesel that gives up to 10 knots cruise and flight speed of 13-14 knots when required. She shares the same proven underwater shape as the Honeymoon / Seaway 33 but has been completely remodelled from the waterline up. The interior has 2 separate sleeping areas as well as a large
and comfortable saloon. The ensuite has a separate shower stall and electric head with holding tank and the large cockpit has an extended hardtop for that all-important shade. The flybridge
will accommodate 4 to 5 people and has a central helm for excellent vision when manoeuvring. The large bimini gives sun protection and is ready for clears to be fitted (if
required). “Southseas” was custom built to a very high standard by well-known boat builder Laurie Toms and has a large list of standard and optional features. The Southport 34 fits into the smaller diesel shaft drive market somewhere between the trawler style displacement vessels like the Clipper and semi displacement vessels like Fairways.
