A 30’ Mahogany replica of an early 1900s Ventnor Gold Cup Gentleman’s Racer, the Gold Cup being one of Americas most prestigious boat races at the time.
The hull is built with 14mm Mahogany using cold moulded vacuum bagged technique on transverse frames and longitudinal stringers all epoxy glued. Spotted gum was used for the keel and frames and the deck are Mahogany with Beech inlays.
The hull was built superbly by master craftsman, streamlined air intakes and vents are beautifully made and polished and fitted throughout the boat with a polished stainless steel cut water runs up the bow.
The engine is a MerCruiser 6.2lt MPI fitted to a Hurst 2:1 angled gearbox shaft drive and a custom-made Acme propeller.
The hull and trailer were completed approximately 12 years ago and the engine purchased new and fitted approximately three (3) years ago, the engine and running gear would have less than
5 hours on them.
The interior and final finishing of the boat was completed approximately 3 years ago
The boat is registered in NSW with # DIABLO N and is finished using gold leaf.
